RE: Not being able to play a purchased song

I had purchased a song and even though I purchased it, in fact I bought the whole album, when I go to play this song, it says that I need to authorize the computer to play it. I sign in, and it says that the computer is authorized but it still has me sign in to authorize the computer in order to play the song but it doesn't play. What's going on?!?!?!

I was able to figure it out. Right after I had posted this, I tried deleted and re-downloading the specific song in question and now it works perfectly! Thanks for responding. I tried looking for the original post to delete it if that is even possible. I hadn't posted on this platform before simply because I didn't even know that this even existed. Again, thanks for taking the time to read and respond. Hope this stays for other users that may face the same issue that I had.

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand that you're having trouble with a purchased album. Every time you try to play it, iTunes prompts you to authorize your computer. The problem is, you already have. I'm happy to help!


Based on what you've described, I'd recommend using the steps outlined in the Apple Support article If iTunes prompts you to authorize your computer when you try to play iTunes Store purchases - Apple Support.
