Installing Epson Printer Artisan 1430

My MacAir won't complete the installation of the Epson Artisan 1430 printer drivers and utilities. The Epson installation stops around 48% completion and says "an error has occurred." I've tried a few times with the same result. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thank you in advance.

Epson printer driver install fails after installing Big Sur 11.6 I upgraded to Big Sur 11.6 and could not print to my Epson SC P5000 any longer. I tried installing the new driver available from Epson, and it failed. In trying to fix this, I also uninstalled the previous printer drivers and it still fails to install... without any reason or details offered. I'm completely at a loss, the Mac Mini will not allow me to reinstall a previous OSX, (and for "security reasons" won't let me boot from an external drive???)

MacBook Air 2020 - BIG SUR - Printer Driver problem? The printer driver for Epson xp-235 (older printer) and Epson xp-2100 (new printer) will not install. Epson says that the drivers work with Big Sur, but it seems they only work if you upgraded to Big Sur... this new MacBook Air is born with Big Sur, and the printer drivers will not install. Is there a way to "clean" the spooler on a MacBook Air (like you can on Windows)? Should I try to downgrade to previous version (before Big Sur) I tried to install earlier versions of the drivers also, no luck. Seems like my Mac is jammed, and no printer drivers can be installed ?? Any ideas? Best regard Katrine

Please read Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support and pay particular attention to the boxed note stating "This list is no longer updated."

Epson does not indicate any support whatsoever for any macOS version beyond Mountain Lion... six macOS versions ago.
