ECG PROGRAM Mfor I-watch

As a former government official you will understand the importance of complying with the law. Apple has announced and released the ECG app for the countries where permission has been granted, watchOS - Feature Availability - Apple (updated when changes occur) so by simple logic the app is not approved and not available in countries NOT mentioned. Nobody has been misled by Apple in this respect.

If you don’t like Apple’s policy and the way they announce product availability, I have news for you... you need to be a shareholder or a judge in a US courtroom to have any influence on management decisions.

Oh, and as a point of accuracy - iWatch is an online movie streaming service. You have probably purchased an Apple Watch.

Just to be very clear this is a user-to-user technical support site, I do not work for Apple. So what was your position in the medical authorities in the government? Are you saying your country has absolutely no regulations for drugs, medical services, medical devices, etc? According to my doctor, who is from the Philippines, there is such a regulatory agency.

Since any device that performs an ECG (even a single-pole one) is a medical device it has to be approved as such. Apple has been regularly adding more countries with upgrades. They made it very clear when they released it that it would be approved in the US first and then other countries. They are just now finishing approval with Canada.

Wait for your government to approve the ECG function on the Apple Watch.
