I haven't been able to load either Pinterest or youtube on my Mac for the last week or so, although they will load on my iPhone. The search bar starts, then stops and that's it. I'd appreciate any ideas - reasons why this is happening - ways to fix it!!
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. have you attempted to install another browser than your normal one and test if the sites works in that ?
It would help if you can tell us a bit more about your Mac, like what model, and which exact version of macOS High Sierra that it is running.
Are you able to download both of these apps? If so, where are you getting them from? If you can download them, what exactly happens when you try to run them? Do you have any issues with downloading any other apps on this Mac?

FWIW, Pinterest and YouTube are web sites, not apps.
This is my PC Mac, not my iPhone, so I'm trying to get to Pinterest and youtube via the computer rather than an app. I'm running High Sierra 10.13.6, the latest update. I use Yahoo as my browser although I've tried switching the browsers to see if the sites would load then and it hasn't made a difference. As for the model of my computer, I bought it in 2012 - iMac 21.5 Intel Core 15. Sorry, I'm not a computer geek and that may not be the information for which you were asking. Weird thing is that I've never had a problem until recently.
