Can the iPhone 6s be charged any other way than be plugging it into a charger. Can it be charged with a charging platform? One that i would just lay my phone on.

Wireless charging is supported on the iPhone 8 and newer. You just need a Qi compatible wireless charger. For older phones you can get a case that will support wireless charging.
