iPhone XS & Apple Watch series 4
Since having my iwatch callers can’t hear ringing whilst connecting to me .... very frustrating

I would suggest you take back to the Apple store as the Watch is still under warranty they can examine it for you.
Before that reset your Watch. Press the crown and side button in untill the Apple logo appears. Also Check your Watch is updated to 5.2.1and your iphone is running ios 12.3.1 and finally Unpair your Watch and repair it.
