iPhone X powers off

My iPhone X (Verizon) shuts down intermittently, even though it has a charge. It seems to be better when plugged in/charging, but still turns off. It will power on after a few minutes. Sometimes longer


I think I've tried everything.


Any ideas? I have Apple Care but don't want to send it in and be without a phone

Check the charging port for lint or other debris. Also see this:


If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t charge


Another thing to check is the battery health as explained here: iPhone Battery and Performance
