I downed loaded High Sierra OS without checking to determine if my MAC would support it. Bad idea. How can I delete High Sierra?

If you just downloaded High Sierra, it should be in your /Applications folder. You can either delete it from there or move it to someplace else - like your Downloads folder - so you don't have to download it again.
What's the actual problem you're having? It won't even attempt to install on an unsupported system.
