No longer in Canadian Store

My Apple Music membership switched from Canadian to USA...upon trying to use Apple Music, info block popped up stating-“The Apple ID is only valid for use in Canadian Store”...how did it get out of the Canadian store and how do I get it switched back?

Did you try to access content from the US Store and didn’t notice you agreed to switch?

You might have lost your Apple Music now though. Once you switch countries it messes things up.

To get back to your region and sign out of the US:

Do this in the order it’s listed.

Next ...

  • Launch Settings
  • Tap on General.
  • Tap on Language & Region near the bottom.
  • Tap on Region
  • Select your home region.

Next .....

in Settings- iTunes App Store - your name - sign in

Next .....

Open the music app

Tap on the For you Tab-

Tap on your profile in upper right corner

Scroll down to .view Apple ID - Sign iOut - Sign back  in

I can provide further instructions on restoring your Apple Music, if you lost it, , but I’m not sure it will help

After you’ve done the above. See if you can restore Apple Music (if needed)

Please post back if it works so it can help others. So far we’ve not been able to find a formula to resolve it.

Thanks

Turn iCloud Music Library off, then on again

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

    1. Go to Settings > Music, then tap iCloud Music Library to turn it off.
    2. Close Settings.
    3. Go to Settings > Music, then tap iCloud Music Library to turn it on.
    4. Turn on “Show Apple Music

 If they still don’t load:

  1. in settings- iTunes App Store - your name - sign out- then sign back  in - you will need to turn iCloud music library back on again.
