Phishing from Apple Inc

Is there any department at Apple that looks into phishing scams, especially those posing to be from Apple? Received 10 calls today from Apple Inc 408-***-0110 and they said it was regarding my iCloud account. I know all my data is safe, and Apple never calls like that.


I used to know some folks from the Apple Security group, but that was more related to OS security, not this type of security. Just wondering if they know about it, and are trying to track them down to put an end to it, and to stop besmirching their good name.

Scammers spoof phone numbers and use flattery and threats to pressure you into giving them information, money, and even iTunes gift cards. Always verify the caller's identity before you provide any personal information. If you get an unsolicited call from someone claiming to be from Apple, hang up and contact us directly.
