My new iPhone is asking for a passcode

If you forgot your passcode go to this link - If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

If you bought the phone used from someone, they should have erased the phone but if they did not they need to erase it before you can use it.

The passcode is whatever you set when you set the phone up.
