Butt text in a complete phrase?

Is it possible to butt text someone a complete sensible phrase such as: Can I call you later?

in iMessage.

This phrase was texted to me, and when I questioned who this text was for, they said that they had never sent it and they have no idea how it was even possible that they sent it.

I questioned it being for someone else by accident and they still have the same story of having no idea how the text happened.

Is it even possible? Because a butt text to me would be gibberish if anything.

Butt text would be similar to a pocket dial (messaged by sitting on your phone) am I right?

Could be that its a replacement text string as per previous response or possibly and auto reply set up in Do Not Disturb. Third option is that it is one of the Respond with Text options but that is generally for a call.

I have to agree with you thought that typing an sensible phrase with your arse cheek is quite an achievement. :)

According to my husband, he “butt texted” me and doesn’t know how it happened. He had his phone in his pocket and when he took out his phone he noticed a text from me asking about: “Can I call you later” . He then called me and proceeded to tell me that he has no idea how that text happened . He does not have text shortcuts on his phone.
