iPad 4 obsolete?

My astronomy club uses an iPad to run a telescope at the observatory. I believe it's an iPad 4. The model number is FD510LL/A. Its running IOS 10.3.3. I'm wondering if this is worth trying to update and could it run the latest IOS?

Thanks

An iPad 4th gen is an almost y-year old device that cannot upgrade beyond iOS 10.3.3.

Its internal hardware is too old, underpowered and incompatible with any current and future versions of iOS..

Sorry.

That stated, i have an older iPad Pro that is still, currently, running iOS 10.3.3 and many third party apps are still receiving updates under iOS 10, so far.

BUT, look for this to more quickly change in the near future.
