Actually I created a landscape document and divided it. Saved this document as a new template. I layed my original pages out of the floor to get them in order then copid and pasted from on document to the new document. Now to print them out. It was a long process though but now I have a new template saved to use in the future.
Hi Louise,
The sticking point in this process is imposition—placing the pages in the right order to be in order when gathered and folded into a booklet. Pages has no means of doing that directly.
There are applications available to impose pages of a PDF document, which opens a two stage route:
In Pages:
Press command-P to open the Print dialogue.
Click the PDF button at the bottom left of the dialogue, and choose Save as pdf…
Open the pdf file in the imposition application.
Choose the number of pages in the booklet (and make other choices of specifications for the booklet),
then Print.
A search of the (Mac) App Store for "booklet" today brought up 21 hits ranging from one trick ponies (page ordering only) to full feature 'publisher' apps.
Regards,
Barry
I would take a close look at Create Booklet 2. It is $20USD in the Mac App Store, and has been around since 2005. I have used it in the distant past when it was free.
