Apple Watch Vibrations
Why does my Apple Watch 2 no longer vibrate when I receive text messages? I just went from a 6s plus to an XS.

Now I’m confused. You say the S&H settings didn’t work, but you marked as solved.
Im sure this is somewhere in settings, something got changed when you upgraded your phone. Next guess, maybe in the individual notification settings for Messages. It might also help to review Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support
