How can I run Skype and Adobe Acrobat on my iMac which is running macOS Mojave. 10.14.5 ?

Can anyone give me simple instructions on how to accomplish this? I'm very dependent on my computer and need to resolve this problem.

There is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC which is free, and intended for Mojave. Adobe Acrobat Pro is a PDF Editor, and is only available by subscription. You can get Skype from Microsoft, who owns it. Skype is free computer to computer, but it will cost you plenty for a dedicated, inbound/dialout, local Skype phone number and a renewable voice plan. I had the latter sentence and it was $100USD per year.
