Iphone 4 and Apple ID

Why can't you use your Apple ID? If you have 2 Factor Authentication enabled for your Apple ID and need to enter the verification code, if you see a password box, enter the password (ABC) followed by the code (123) or ABC123.

If that isn't the problem, please explain what happens when you try to use your ID.

Try a restart.

Try a forced restart.

Why can't you use your Apple ID? Even if you can't turn 2 Factor Authentication on, what happens when you try to use your ID? Error message(s)? More information would help.
