Removing email account completely from Apple Watch

I could not post the answer to someone else's question, the system made me make a new question. The original question was how to delete an email account from Apple Watch completely, not just turn off notifications or delete individual messages. I searched for the answer as well but they all seemed to answer how to delete individual messages, not the account itself. So, in playing with my phone and watch, I accidentally stumbled across it. To delete an email account, 1) Go to settings on your phone, not your watch app. 2) Go to passwords & accounts. 3) In the Accounts section, your email associated with the native email phone app should be listed below any iCloud accounts. Select the appropriate account. 4) Delete said account. That worked for me. Now when I select the mail app on the phone, it asks me to setup a new account; when selecting it on the watch it says no mail account, setup on phone. Simple as that, email account is gone. For me, the confusion was that I set it up initially in the Apple Watch app, not the phone, so naturally that's where I kept looking for the delete button...until now.

Total deletion never to be seen again anywhere, ever? Or simply remove from the watch as your original post suggests,

The original question was how to delete an email account from Apple Watch completely, not just turn off notifications or delete individual messages.

I’m even more confused when later in the post you talk about having to setup again on the iPhone

Yes, total deletion, never to be installed again. The reference that you are confused about me reinstalling was only checking the app...after deleting the account on the phone, I went to the app on the watch to make sure there was no account associated with it. That is the state I wanted it in, no email account associated with the native email app on the phone and watch. I could've left it as is and turned off notifications, never opened the app, or whatever else, but I wanted the account GONE. As far as I can tell, the only way to do that is by following the instructions above. Sure, there are other ways to limit notifications and such, but again, I wanted no email account on that app.
