AirPods won’t reset

I just recently bought AirPods, and when I got them out of the box they worked fine, but then the left AirPod stopped working, it would say it’s connected but it wouldn’t play any sound, I reset the AirPods and connected them back with no luck, then I forgot the device from the Bluetooth screen and now the AirPods won’t connect back. When I open the case the lights flashing green, but when I try to reset them, the light stays white, it doesn’t flash, just solid white. What’s going on? What do I need to do?
