Is there an Apple recommended anti-virus for MacBook?

I know it's somewhat controversial whether or not a MacBook even needs antivirus software, but I've been searching online to figure out which anti-virus would be best for a MacBook. Does Apple recommend any of them?

Thanks,

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.14

Apple does not provide any specific recommendations or even a general recommendation one way or the other.

In a practical sense, Mac's don't get viruses but you can get tricked to install malware/adware from Safari and the free program https://malwarebytes.com is a great tool for that. To get active scanning in the background you have to pay for it, but you can use it for free just remembering to do an occasional scan yourself.

Beyond that, unless you have legal requirements (like working at a doctor's office or law office) or something similar, you really don't need anything beyond on occasional Malware Bytes scan.
