Screen Mirroring between iPhone X and MacBook.

Hi there,

I have a Vanmass multiport adapter for my MacBook and it seems to work fine but I cannot get my MacBook to mirror my phone. There internet is connected via ethernet / adapter. The iPhone is connected to the macbook via the adapter.

I have Netflix episodes downloaded onto my phone and want to watch them on the MacBook but cannot replicate the phone's screen on here.

Please help and apologies if this has been asked before; I did look!

QuickTime Player is capable mirroring iOS devices on Mac. Following document could help your question.

Did you select New Movie Recording of File menu, top of File menu, then select your iPhone?

Hi,

Probably that adapter is the problem. Try to connect directly between MacBook and iPhone X

My iPhone is XR by the way.

Hi Kaz-K,

I tried that previously having found the tutorial online but it didn't and still does not work. I can select my I-Phone from the dropdown list on QuickTime but it does not result in screen mirroring.

Yes.

Where it say to “click on done”, this option does not present itself so I proceed to select new movie recording and then change to my iPhone. Once I click on my iPhone that drop no disappears but nothing else happens.
