Disabled account

I cannot update apps or use the App Store or iTunes. “Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes”. I have changed my password and still get the same error. Thanks

If the message states that your Apple ID is disabled for security reasons see: If your Apple ID is locked or disabled - Apple Support


If it is not for security reasons and you cannot download updates or purchases, contact iTunes support: Contact Apple Support

Thanks for posting your question on the Apple Support Communities. If your Apple ID is disabled from iTunes & the App Store, you should contact iTunes Billing Support using the Billing Section of the Contact Apple Support website.


The correct options to click would be in this order:


  1. Billing & Subscriptions
  2. Apple ID & iCloud
  3. "Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes" alert
