Why is Mac Contact using Entourage icon?

So this is a small, silly annoyance that isnt really important, but I'm curious.

Whenever i share a contact from mac contacts, the icon is an Entourage icon. Is that normal? This has been the case forever, but its never occurred to me to ask if that can be changed or why the heck that is the way it is. I dont even know what the mac contact icon even looks like because I always see the entourage one.

I do have mac office installed, but have not used entourage in literally a decade at least.

Probably because Entourage was set to open files of that type. Select the file, Get Info, and set Contacts to be the Application to Open that file. Click Change All… to set Contacts to open all files of that type.

Hmm... well, okay. I really can't delete office right now as i'm in the midst of using it. I can give that a go sometime in the future I suppose. I still dont understand why mac contacts would use that icon? especially if office isnt running? I've done probably half a dozen major system upgrades since the last time I wrote any mail on entourage, so what possible preference file is still being referenced here? Can I just change or delete that?

So, as maybe a partial answer: I logged on to a safety account i have that has only High Sierra on it, and the contact card created by contacts on that account is a Mac Contact icon. But I'm not sure how that helps me change it on my regular account.
