will the white one be better?

I am a 3GS owner. I'm just an average consumer...I use both mac & pc stuff so am not so much concerned about vitriole. I am wondering though, as someone who wanted the white iphone 4, if there is any word on the problems being corrected in that one? I would like ot spend my hard-earned money on something that works well as I tend to keep phones for a while. It has nothing to do with fanboy/troll status, just wanting to get something that will last a while and won't cause me problems. I have dropped calls already with my 3GS and don't want something that will make it worse. I do love the iphone I have despite the irritation of dropped calls (which I blame on AT&T anyway). I'm starting to wonder if I should hang on to my current phone for another year just to be sure all kinks are worked out. Any word?
