internal microphone option not showing

I cannot see the internal microphone option anywhere in the system preferences or anywhere else. I'm unable to do voice search, siri queries or anything that requires voice input.

MacBook Pro 13”, macOS 10.14

System Preferences->Sound

doesn’t show you the internal microphone as an input option?

Try resetting NVRAM and SMC.

Also, check to see if it’s available: in Safe Mode; when booted normally but logged in to a new user account.
