I received a pop-up (I think) basically stating I should perform a scan. I did this and it advised I had three viruses (see screenshot). never had anything like this happen before, so trying to understand if this is genuinely from Apple, or is it something dodgy?
Should I hot the button to "Remove Viruses Now", or not?

No. It's a scam.
It's not possible to scan a computer(except for manually-uploaded files) for malware through a web browser unless it's booted into Windows.

There is no one in the world who would know what is on your computer. Ignore.
Note the web address of the page you imaged. That is NOT an Apple address.
Imagine how bad a utility must be if the developers have to scare someone into downloading it!
Apple or its engineers cannot "fix" these scams.
