Why is this macbook pro searching for a wireless keyboard?

I've got a MacBook Pro (Retina 13 inch, Early 2015) that is getting stuck at start-up, as it has randomly started searching for a "Bluetooth Keyboard Setup." This causes the cursor to get stuck in the upper-left-hand corner of the screen and the Bluetooth Set-up Assistant to appear on the screen with a twirly circle in its lower right-hand corner. The start-up stops and the computer has to be restarted with hope that this might not happen again. I tried starting in safe mode, but that has failed and the same problem occurs. Is this a virus?

Hi,

System Preferences > Bluetooth and click Advanced... then uncheck Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup if no keyboard is detected, though as Grant Bennet-Alder says, keyboard of your MacBook Pro might be something wrong.
