I Cloud storage

I have used my free I Cloud storage allowance. If I purchase more how does this work ?

Do I have to do anything after purchase or will my photos etc start to back up automatically.

It is a subscription, not a one-time purchase.

If your photo transfer was limited by requiring more room in iCloud then increasing the storage will permit the transfer to proceed.
