home movies no sound on homepod via apple tv
i have home movies on Apple TV but can’t get the sound on my homepods only via the tv’s speaker.

Do the Homepods show up when you go to the Apple TV Settings...Audio Output?
I find the ATV does not always remember when I set it to Homepods and I have to return to Settings to fix this. The next update to the Homepod iOS might address this.
In any case, There should be no reason that home movies play differently to purchased movies on your ATV. They should all use the audio output setting that you have selected.
