icloud password change

I forgot my icloud password so requested a new one for security reasons. I changed my password using the “forgot password prompt” on my iphone. I have an ipad as well that is at my friends house. I changed it so she couldn’t get in my ipad and see my pictures etc. Is a simple icloud password change enough that’s shes locked out of my ipad until the new password is put in?

iPhone 6s, iOS 12

Changing the iCloud password won't stop somebody from logging into your other device which only requires the passcode. Also I suspect if the other device can't connect to the Internet it may not even be aware you have changed your password.

If you really don't want her using the device you will need to activate lost mode, which again likely won't prevent anything until the device connects to the Internet:

iCloud: Lock and track your device using Lost Mode in Find My iPhone - https://support.apple.com/kb/PH2700?locale=en_US - "If your iOS device or Mac is lost, you can prevent someone else from using it by remotely locking the device with a passcode." Also how to unlock.
