Amazon Fake Original Apple Earphones

Has anybody tried purchasing the original Apple earphone with remote and mic from Amazon? I was just trying to get the earphones for something less than the exorbitant Apple Store prices, but there seems to be a ton of "OEM" or "Original" Apple earphones that are actually made-in-China knockoffs. I've complained to Amazon with no affect, but it would seem in Apple's best interest to make sure these knockoffs claiming to be Apple "originals" sold on Amazon's website were not damaging Apple's image. Almost all of the Apple-branded accessories seem to have these cheap counterparts being sold on Amazon, to the point where it is extremely difficult finding a REAL Original Apple branded accessory.

On the other hand, I wouldn't have to be looking for extra earphones if the cover on the 3G earphones didn't break easily, making a sharp edge and cutting my ears. My 3GS earphones haven't had problems yet.
