Purchased new sealed packed AirPods but I didn't know that it is original

I have purchased new sealed packed airpod but i didnt know that it is orignal and i also didnt know that we can verify our airpods through web site.so i opened it and use it but it was not giving the actual bettery time both case and air piece.i am also giving my serial num here plz let me know the apple team it is ur product or it is fake one.
