Apple Music payments

I am a college student and in the past (first semester) I have used the student Apple Music discount with the schools email however in the 2nd semester I bought a new phone and created a brand-new iCloud as well as a Mac book that way I can have a new iCloud email for both devices at the start of school. Although, when I tried logging into my Apple Music with the schools email after setting up a new iCloud it did not let me and ever since then I am being charged double per month. Why is this or what can I do to solve the problem ?

iPhone X, iOS 12

Apple Music subscriptions are linked to your Apple ID. If you have multiple Apple IDs, then you could end up having content and subscriptions on both accounts. It is up to the user to cancel unwanted subscriptions.

Note that content cannot be transferred between Apple ID accounts. ‘Retiring’ one Apple ID might make all its linked content and purchases inaccessible. Official advise is that most users should have just one Apple ID. If needed, the name of the Apple ID can be changed (but only once to an @icloud.com address), while keeping the same account.

I think the Apple ID can be separate from your account with UNiDAYS. But as I am not a student, it is a bit difficult for me to check.
