Can not see pictures in FB messenger or text messages, as of this morning

this started some time this morning. I was able to receive picture messages last night at 11:30pm. All picture have loaded as blank in FB messenger, and a group photo stream that I’m in, sent pics this morning. I didn’t get anything from the sender, but my husband did on his phone. The FB messenger thing is also happening on my old iPhone6 plus, that I use as an iPod.
