iPad locked up

My 1 year old locked up my older son's iPad. It currently says "iPad disabled, connect to iTunes". When I connect the ipad the computer doesnt recognize it is connected. I have tried on a couple of computers and tried the cord on my phone. I have also restarted the ipad while connected to try restore mode, but nothing.

any ideas?
