is it possible to daisy chain two or more macs via thunderbolt?

is it possible to daisy chain two or more macs via thunderbolt 2 - preferably thunderbolt 3 to achieve 40 Gbps between the equipments? if this is possible are much better solution than gigabit switch to transfer files and data between those macs. So, is it possible?

You can connect two Macs via the Thunderbolt interface as a

"virtual" network. From macOS guide:


However, the feasibility of networking is limited because of the

limited cable length.
