I have a iphone 6 running ios 12.3.1 and a macbook pro 13' high sierra 10.13.6 and I can't airdrop between these devices I have tried various ways to get this working and lots of websites and apples own site didn't work. if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated.

I have tried the "can't find who you are looking for" and leaving airdrop in finder open.
