Please could you help me and tell me how can I remove the "other" stuff from my mac and iphone? They are taking almost all of my space. I have deleted almost everything and still the available space is not changing? If I will do a format of the disk will it remove those "other" stuff"?

"Storage" is noted by many for it's wildly inaccurate numbers & bizarre allocations to where thaose numbers are used... might be a Spotlight issue, not sure.
How much free space is on the HD, where has all the space gone?
OmniDiskSweeper is likely the easiest/best, and is now free...
Well, erasing the drive WILL clear the "other" & everything else, but restoring from TM may get you back here exactly where you are now.
But, APFS is a quirky Disk Format & many times an erase is the only way to fix it.
Quite possible, do you have a Time Machine Backup?

Why shouldn't I trus the "storage" report?
I did empty the Trush, the Trush in Photos as well.
The Get Info gives me the same information as the Disk Utility about the availabe space and the space in use. And still for 120 GB of capacity 88 GB is taken by "Others". Also strange thing is that my Photos is empty and in the report is saying about 5 GB in use. I don't understand how this stuff works.... :(
And how about doing the format/ ereasing the disk? will it remove the "other"?
First, do not trust the "storage" report.
Have you emptied the Trash on your Mac?
What does a Get Info on your drive report?
