Macbook Pro will connect to wifi but after a few minutes not load anything

My MacBook Pro (late 2013) will connect to a wifi network but after a few minutes not be able to load anything. I have tried this with safari and chrome on various wifi networks but a few minutes after originally connecting and working fine, it can no longer load anything though still showing a connection. In order to get working again, I must either restart the computer, close out of the browser and open again, or disconnect from the wifi network and connect again.
