iPhone X condensation in cameras
Long story short, my iPhone X took a dunk in a chlorinated pool the other day. The phone seems to be working correctly - Bluetooth, face id, force touch, everything seems fine, including the speakers. The one exception is the cameras. All 3 cameras have condensation in their glass. The front condensation is barely visible while the main camera has an even layer of fog over it and the 2x lens has noticeable droplets of water under the glass. The water damage indicator within the sim slot is still white and the phone is covered under Apple Care Plus still. I just would like to know what my options are. I've ordered silica gel packets and it is spending tonight in a bag of rice. Should I continue trying to dry it myself or should I bring it into a store for service? I am really busy these next few weeks and I can only make it to a store if I'm absolutely sure that I have to (because every time I go to my store it's almost 4 hours). Will this type of damage be covered since the liquid damage indicator is still mint or will I have to shell out 500+ dollars to fix a 2 year old phone?
Also - months before this incident I've been noticing the phone isn't picking up on my taps sometimes. When there is clearly a button I can tap, but it doesn't work unless I move the page on the display so what I was trying to tap is somewhere else on the screen. Since looking around at the support pages for my current issue, I've seen the iPhone X Display Module Replacement Program for Touch Issues and I'm wondering if my phone was affected.
