Recently I found my old iPod(10GB) and tried to sync some music into it. But the computer simply cannot recognize the device. The device itself shows 'OK to disconnect' on the screen. I tried to connect this iPod with: MacBook Pro(14-Mid)(Windows10/macOS 10.14), iBook G4(OS X 10.4) with different cables, but all failed to recognize anyway. I don't know if there is a way to let iPod be recognized by computer???

I checked and cleaned the Firewire port on the iPod. But things goes on like what I have mentioned in the question...
Btw, I use Firewire400-800 and Firewire800-Thunderbolt2 to connect it to my Mac.
I think the problem might on iPod itself because even an old iBook(with iTunes 4.7.1) couldn't recognize it...
Yep...I found that the problem is might caused by FW port, (after disassemble the device.) Some of these solder points seemed like no longer connected to the logic board.
I am trying to re-solder these point, hope things go well !

Try rebooting the device and try again. Check for fluff in your docking port. It should continue to work with current versions of iTunes.
