11" Macbook air spacebar making a metallic noise when pressed

Whenever I use the spacebar on my 2014 11" MacBook air, it makes an unusual metallic sound, and when you shake the body you can hear it. It's also very resistant from when you click the sides. Any ideas?

To whoever ends up reading this thread in the future, what I ended up doing is watching a couple videos on youtube on how to remove apple's scissor key cap for the spacebar and did it myself. One of the stabilizer bars fell off from a hook that it's usually attached to so I fixed that, cleaned out the opening, and then put the cap back on. My spacebar is working fine now :))
