iMessage not working
Only My emails on my iPad appear in “start new conversations from” and “receive to and reply from” boxes. I am unable to change to my phone number. There is no icon I can tap.

Do you use iPhone or some other phone brand? If you don't have an iPhone, your phone number is not an option for iMessage.
