iTunes not allowing my backup restore to my new XR phone

I backed up my data in itunes from my iphone 6 and when i am trying to restore the backed up data into my iphone XR, iTunes is asking for the password and when i am typing my password of my apple ID, it is giving an error that the password is incorrect and not allowing me to copy my backed up data to my new XR, please help me restore my restored data to my new phone

Are you sure that it asks you for an Apple ID password and not the password of an encrypted backup?
