First seven episodes of podcast no longer showing

The first seven episodes of podcast Adventures in YA are no longer available. Can't figure out why they've disappeared.

You are using wordpress to manage your RSS feed - This is NEVER recommended. Wordpress managed feeds as you are seeing cause all sorts of issues.

You should use your Libsyn RSS feed instead.

I will follow up with you via email.

Your feed is at http://www.adventuresinya.com/feed/adventureyapodcast/

It was constructed in Wordpress, and contains the same 50 episodes which are showing in the Store. The reason for this is that WordPress, in common with many podcast creation programs and services, limits the number of episodes shown in the feed, removing older episodes as new ones are added once the limit is reached. In this case the limit is 50 (I seem to remember the default in Wordpress is 20 so it may already have been changed).

Though I have no experience of WordPress, poster seogroup reported that this could be increased in Dashboard > Settings > Reading > Syndication Feeds Shows the most recent ____ Items.

Yes, the Store is now using the Libsyn feed and showing all the episodes.

However you should be aware that as you have not taken steps to forward the original feed to the new one your existing subscribers will not see the first 8 episodes and will not see any future episodes unless you are adding them to that feed as well as the Libsyn one. If possible you should set up redirection: the available methods are explained in detail here:
