iPhone use in Canada

Is iphone to iPhone free in Canada for people with USA phone numbers? Our plane provides texts in Canada are $.5 in Canada, but I though iPhone to iPhones call between iPhones were free, as were texts.

I chatted with AT&T. They said as long as I was using Wi-Fi I wouldn't be charged. So I am on Airplane mode with Wi-Fi turned on. I have been Texting for several days and no charges have shown up on my bill. It's like AT&T doesn't know about the calls that happen on Wi-Fi,

If you're talking about iMessages, to my knowledge they are free of charge worldwide if you use a Wifi connection.

But since they work also when you are not connected to wifi (using cellular data)... ask your carrier, and see what they say about it.

Unfortunately there's not an appropriate answer to your question, since many carriers can offer special plans for your trips abroad. That's why I can't be more helpful... only your carrier holds the truth :-)
