Converting US$ to CAN$

I would like to convert the US$ stock quote to CAN$. I have tried the different methods in the forums but must not understand the directions. Any clarity appreciated.

You can try something like this:

If the USD price is in B2, then:

=B2*CURRENCY("USD","CAD",0)

The basic conversion is pretty easy—USD price * USD to CAD exchange rate = CAD.

There are several sources for exchange rates online, including Yahoo Finance, Bank of Canada (aggregated average from several sources), most, if not all of the Canadian chartered banks also offer online exchange rate calculators.

If you are using Numbers for stock quotes, your most convenient source is likely Yahoo Finance, as that's where the stock quotes come from.

My numbers is not current enough to have the stock function and associated functions, but I think the current version can get the rates directly from Yahoo. If so, I'm sure there'll be confirmation within a day of your posting.
