I tried saving my Iphone photos on Image Capture and selected to import to Photos. Where can i find these photos since they are not showing up in the Photos application? Or on the Masters folder of the iPhoto library.

In Photos, do you see an imported album?
I see a Last Import album, but the photos I imported through Image Capture are not on there. I have been having issues importing my photos directly in Photos. Sometimes my phone's pictures do not show up so I can import, and when they do only a few photos are able to import, then the import freezes.
At the bottom left hand corner of Image Capture, there is an upward pointing arrow. Click on it and from the dropdown menu, choose Photos. See if that helps.
