XR not working / no help from service center guys

My XR phone suddenly stopped working on July 6, 2019, got all blank and was marked as dead by your service center guys at Apple Service Center, Pacific Mall, Subhash Nagar, New Delhi. 


I purchased the handset in the month of November, 2018 from an Apple Authorised Showroom (Invent) located at Moments Mall, Near Moti Nagar Chowk, New Delhi - 110015. (Invoice attached)


Now, the service center guy is arguing with me that I should pay an additional amount of Rs 34000/- approximate for a new set in exchange of my damaged handset without explaining me why my handset got all blank. On saying them that its been only few months of my purchase, he is still reluctant on his words that they cannot help me and I had to pay the extra amount or I should talk to the store where I made this purchase as I have an insurance done for the set from the store itself.


While purchasing the set last year in November, the guy at the store insisted me to get an insurance done for the set as it has a glass body. I agreed upon and they quickly completed the formalities for this and charged me an extra amount approximate Rs 8500/-. Now they say that to claim the damage I need to visit the insurance website as it is from a Third Party, fill in all the details and it should take an approximate 3-4 weeks to get the claim settled and also the amount considered for insurance claim settlement shall be as per the current market price of the set which is quite lower than what I paid few months back.


From the above scenario I feel that either we are not yet capable to handle a product from Apple or we are doing all this purposely to fool the customers. I'm really shocked that why your service center guy didn’t even register my complain and didn’t even bother to brief me about what exactly has happened to the handset and why. Instead he is arguing with me and suggesting that I pay an extra amount and get a new phone. Very rude and unethical way of dealing with customers it was. I am not a college guy who wants phone for fun, my whole business schedule has been disrupted since last 2 days and finally I thought of writing a mail to you hoping for a solution and also letting you know how your people here behave with customers.I have been associated with Apple since the year 2007 and have never faced any technical issue with the product I use, it’s the first time this kind of thing has happened and unfortunately I visited your service center which I feel that the guys there are not well trained as per Apple guidelines and don’t even know how to maintain the company’s stature.
