Hello, I downloaded an app and signed up to a monthly subscription but I no longer want it. When I go in to my settings to unsubscribe there isn’t an option to do so. I’m unsure what to do as if I just delete the app I’m still going to be charged for it

Just deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

No, deleting the app is not enough.

Correct. Subscriptions are associated with an Apple ID, not the presence of the app on the phone.
Can you please post a screenshot of the subscription options? I guess that you've already cancelled it.
If it says "Expires on" and offers you options to resubscribe, then the subscription is cancelled.
